My Father in law

Created by Ann 2 years ago
David and Sylvia were always like a mum and dad to me ,and we had many a happy time . I have many tales i could tell about David ,like the time he bought a massive inflatable dingy with outboard motor ,even though neither of us could swim . He took me right out off the isle of Wight and the motor went wrong ,of course he mad me get in the sea to fix it ,which i did ,but before i got back in the boat he started engine and dragged me along behind it before he realised i was still in water . Another time on holiday he bought a metal detector and got myself and my son Sean up early to go down to the beach to look for anything valuable . After about an hour it started bleeping ,again ,him not being silly got me and Sean to dig in the sand ,we kept digging and digging because he was positive he had found something ,which turned out to be an outlet water pipe into sea. David and i always enjoyed a pint together , especially on a Sunday where we left Sylvia and Ann indoors covered our selves in Brut aftershave or Hi karate and went down the Dukes head pub . I could not have wished for better in laws and i will miss them both very much . Our daughter Tracy died recently and i take comfort in knowing that they will all be together . I will miss all the old times and laughs we had together ,rest in peace D.F .( That was his initials David Frank and i was the only one allowed to call him that ). Sleep tight .XXXX
